Community Cookbook Contributions
To celebrate the 92 countries and cultures that make up our school community, in 2026 we're putting together an Indro High Community Cookbook. The Cookbook will be released at UN Day and available for sale $5 digital copies and $10 for printed copies. But first...we need your favourite recipes! All recipe contributions due by Friday 15 May 2026. Click here for more information on how to contribute a recipe.
Call‑Out for Volunteers
We’re building something truly special for UN Night — and we need the passion, creativity and cultural knowledge of our Indro High community to bring it to life. With 92 cultures represented at our school, this is our moment to showcase who we are. To make it happen, we need your help.
Parents, Carers & Guardians - we need stall supervisors at the event - please sign-up to a shift or two on our volunteer roster (these roles are for adults not students) for the event. Every shift needs filling. https://volunteersignup.org/DME7E
Students - we have multiple volunteer spots available in the week of UN Night. Keep an eye on the morning notices at school, for details of where/when to sign-up.
Can you tow a trailer? We can save $1,000+ in delivery fees if we can get your help to tow a Light Tower from Mega Hire Acadia Ridge to the School Oval on Friday Morning. And hopefully you can tow it back again Saturday Morning. Can you help? Email: president@ishspandc.org.au
Do you have Henna Art skills? If you can volunteer an hour or two of your time to doing Henna Art at the event, we want to hear from you! Can you help? Email: president@ishspandc.org.au
Seeking the following Donations
1). Are you able to donate a gift voucher for Indooroopilly Shopping Centre? Coles? Woolworths? JB HiFi? Timezone? Starbucks? Dymocks? Rebel Sport? Kmart? Event Cinemas? These will be used in our prize box draw for UN Day Passport holders. It's a small way to encourage students to stay at the event even after the school bell rings at 3pm. If you can help by donating gift cards, please email: president@ishspandc.org.au
2). Are you able to donate mini chocolates & lollies?
Teens love snacks - and we have a lot of teen volunteers that we would like to thank for helping make UN Day a success. Every teen volunteer gets a Certification of Appreciation for their resume, and we'd love to give them a Lucky Dip into a sweets box. If you can donate a bag or two of wrapped mini chocolates or candies for the lucky dip, please drop them to the P&C Collection Box at 102 Ward Street, Indooroopilly (in front of the garage). There are security cameras...your donations will be safe!
3.) Are you able to donate money to our Battle of the Bands Cash Prize Pool?
In 2026, we have a Battle of the Bands that's bigger than the last. On the live outdoor stage, Indro High students will battle it out for the top prize. We need to raise $1,000 in cash to split into 3 prizes for the bands. If you can donate money to the prize pool, it'd be a huge help to our small event organiser team. To donate money, it's as simple as:
1) Download the QKR! App
2) Select Indooroopilly State High School
3) Setup your profile as a guest
4) Choose Donate to Battle of the Bands Prize Pool from the menu.
